Charife Pongpruksaton Professor Taheri October 22, 2012 1300 English RTR: Living in Two Worlds In the short story Living in Two Worlds, Marcus Mabry had draw from a poor family besides worked hard to make it into Stanford which changes sternly through his familys suffering. Mabry describes about his cardinal very perspicuous worlds, between the scarcities him and his family undergone living in New Jersey and his wonderful life at Stanford University.  First, he explains the economical differences between the two geographical areas; he describes his hometown as the slums or a counterbalance where people go to survive, non to live. In dissimilarity, Stanford  is a take of freedom and being worry free, where the world is perfect and at that turn out is no such thing as poverty, but Mabry gets a huge reality check every time he goes back and pays a visit to his family in New Jersey. Mabry had followed his concern field and put his education at a spicy ante riority in his life.

Although seeing the conditions his family was living in flickered a turn on within him to do better and suit someone that he never though he rear end become. Mabry knew if he had move hard enough that he would be successful in life and making his whole family proud. only not just is he proud of himself, but he is thankful of his family for not giving up and breaking dispirited on him til now though they have every skillful to do so.
